1. Can you explain the bib sizing?

The Hi-Chair Bib™ comes in one size only. It was designed to fit children between the ages of 6 months to 3 years olds plus. The ample non-binding bib neck fits the child by opening the easy side Velcro© opening and then closing it at the shoulder.

2. What does the back of the bib look like?

With the exception of a few print styles, we use a white nylon water resistant lining.

3. Is the bib waterproof?

No. The current line of Hi-Chair Bibs™ has a water resistant backing. We choose water resistant over waterproof material because:

  1. Our foremost concern is the comfort and safety of the child. Waterproof material can be very heavy and hot for a child to wear (like a raincoat), thus increasing the chance of them overheating or not wanting to wear it.

  2. Waterproof material may not hold up to constant washing and drying of a busy family. Furthermore, some plastic bibs can not be washed and dried, therefore if you don' t clean the bib correctly or completely, leftover food can rot in the seams. We like throwing the bib into the wash which makes our bibs child AND parent-friendly!

4. How do I wash the bib?

The Hi-Chair Bib™ can be washed in the washing machine with like colors and tumbled
dried on a low setting. Do not use bleach or iron the bib as the extreme heat from the iron will melt the water resistance backing. Please remember to close the Velcro at the neck so it doesn't catch on any other items.

5. What ages wear the bib?

From our experience, customers are buying this bib for children between the ages of 6-months and 3 years old plus.

6. Will children keep the Hi-Chair Bib™ on?

As every child is unique, we can't guarantee that your child will keep it on, but we have had much success with children who find the Hi-Chair Bib™ to be lightweight (not like a plastic raincoat), generous around the neck (not binding) and bright and cheery (colors kids respond to). Involving the child in picking which Hi-Chair Bib™ they want to wear for the meal has been a tip many parents have passed on.

7. What colors are best for children?

We are of the opinion that children respond to bright and happy colors, therefore we have picked our fabrics with children in mind. Although we love bright colors, we realized that our parents have to be happy looking at it so we also have a selection of muted colors for those who prefer less splash.

8. What is the difference in material/fabrics?

We carry the following material:

  1. 100% Cotton - Lightweight, absorbent, soft to the touch and washes and dries with ease. Removing it from the dryer immediately will keep the wrinkles at bay.

  2. Cotton/Polyester - Lightweight, a little smoother surface than a 100% cotton product and some liquids will roll off, but is wrinkle resistant.

  3. 100% Terry Cotton - A traditional baby bib fabric due to its greater absorbency much like a towel.

9. Why shouldn't I iron the bib?

We do not recommend ironing the Hi-Chair Bib™ due to the fact that if extreme heat touches the nylon water resistant side, the fabric will melt. Machine drying the bib at low temperatures will not harm the bib.

10. How is the bib worn?

The Hi-Chair Bib™ simply lays on top of the child. They do not put their legs through anything. This ease of wearing our bib makes for uncomplicated removal by an adult.

Yes. Each pant comes with an adorable matching t-shirt. Pricing is for the set, both t-shirt and pant.

2. Will the pants fit my child?

As each child is unique, there is no way to universally answer that question. Our sizing is based on the average child in the 50% range. The pants are a loose fit so it will fit a broader range of children.

3. Are the pants washable?

Yes. Our pants are pre-washed to minimize shrinkage. Additionally, the pants are machine washable and dryable.

1. Are Cuisine Catchers™ bibs?

Yes, although we don't call them bibs. We prefer Cuisine Catchers™ to distinguish ourselves from the typical "terry cloth" child bibs usually sold to adults. We specialize in sophisticated material for adults and count nurses (wearing it over their scrubs at lunchtime), UPS drivers and police officers (who eat in their cars at lunch) and other uniform wearing professionals as our many satisfied customers. Additionally, many who have had to occasionally eat in the car or on an airplane and wanted to keep their clothes clean has bought a Cuisine Catcher™!

2. Can you explain the Cuisine Catcher's™ sizing?

Cuisine Catchers™ comes in one size only. It was designed to fit a medium to large sized adult. They fit at the neck by opening the easy side Velcro® and then closing it at the shoulder. Additionally, the length is generous in order to cover most of an adult's lap, where food may roll.

Prices do not include charges for shipping and handling, and applicable taxes. Separate charges for shipping and handling will be shown on your invoice. The on-line order form of this Site provides an estimate of such charges. Actual charges may vary, and will be reflected on your invoice. We are obligated to withhold sales tax for delivery to certain states, including without limitation, California. All shipping and handling charges relating to authorized exchanges are your responsibility.

6. Can my purchase be gift wrapped?

Yes, we offer free gift wrap with all orders when the gift box is checked during the order process. Our gift wrap includes items wrapped in our beautiful signature organza bag topped with a green satin ribbon. Additionally, there is a hang tag (when appropriate) letting the gift recipient know what the item is. If we are mailing the item to you (order and ship to address is the same) so you make take it to your recipient, please check the gift box during the order process and we'll happily include a braided handled gift bag and tissue to make it a splendid presentation.

7. Do you "Back Order?"

No. Many of our fabrics are limited editions and once we sell out, it will be replaced by another pattern.

8. Validating Your Order

After you place an order using our shopping cart, we will check the information you give us for validity, by verifying your method of payment or shipping address.  Poi Wear™ reserves the right to refuse to accept any order you place with us, and/or to limit quantities on any order, without giving any reason. If we reject your order, we will attempt to notify you using the e-mail address you have given us with the order. Your credit card will normally not be charged if we reject an order, but we will process a refund if the charge has been made against your card.

9. How will I know when my gift/order has arrived?

If you'd like to track your order, please contact us for your tracking information. Once you have the tracking number, you can check on delivery status at your leisure via the shipping company's website. Please note that it may take 24 hours before information appears on the carrier's website.

If you think your order is late, please keep in mind:
1. Credit card authorization must be received prior to our processing your order.
2. FedEx "Home Delivery" delivers Tuesday through Saturday. FedEx Ground delivers Monday through Friday to business locations.
3. USPS Priority Mail delivers Monday through Saturday.

10. How are returns handled?

All sales are final. You may exchange products, within 10 (ten) days of purchase, for the same or similar product, in our sole discretion and with our prior authorization. You may get exchange authorization by calling us (310) 488-1158. We do not issue refunds, in any amounts, unless we erroneously charge you, we refuse to accept your order, or we are unable to effect an exchange.

11. Do you take international orders?

Yes. We'll be happy to send your gift overseas. Shipping overseas is only available via FedEx at this time. All orders are payable in US dollars only.
